Staff Bio

Dayanara Weisenburger joined Jamestown Community Center in 2023 and is inspired daily by the students she serves. Beginning her journey at Jamestown as a summer program teacher, Dayanara has quickly grown into her current role as manager of the same school, where she finds motivation in witnessing students grow, learn, and seek her support. She values the meaningful relationships she has built with students and their families, and is dedicated to fostering an environment rooted in learning, care, and collaboration.

Dayanara’s career in education began while studying in Madrid, Spain, where she taught children ages 7 to 13. Although she initially earned a flight attendant license, she discovered her true passion lies in working with youth. Over the past two years at Jamestown, she has demonstrated dedication and leadership through her progression from teacher to coordinator, and now manager.

Born in Ecuador and raised in Spain, Dayanara now calls San Francisco home. She enjoys traveling, exploring new cultures, trying diverse foods, and listening to music. Dayanara is passionate about learning from new experiences and appreciating the unique qualities of every place and culture she encounters.
