Gabby Ruiz
Board Member
With a degree in Health Education and Holistic Health and a Masters in Urban and Public Affairs, Gabby has dedicated her career to working on housing, equity and data to inform local organizations on community policy. She is currently at Chinatown Community Development Center, and was previously at Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation. She also served on the Planning Commission from 2022-2024 prioritizing San Francisco's commitment to centering race and equity within the City's planning process. Today she serves on the Board at Tenderloin Housing Clinic.
Gabby is a past Jamestown participant in our Youth In Charge (YIC) program and sat on the board as a youth representative. YIC inspired her to participate in community causes, especially during the free MUNI for youth campaign, sparking her interest in civic engagement and continuing in the fight. Jamestown's support is one of the reasons why she was able to be successful in the college application process. During college, she worked for Jamestown as an afterschool teacher.
