About Jamestown Community Center
For over 50 years, Jamestown Community Center has been a vital part of San Francisco’s Mission District, empowering youth and families through education, enrichment, and community-building programs.
Rooted in equity and social justice, Jamestown provides high-quality academic support, arts, sports, and leadership opportunities that help young people thrive. By fostering strong relationships and responding to community needs, we create a safe and supportive space where children, teens, and families can grow, learn, and succeed.
Our Mission
Through transformative youth development services rooted in the cultural traditions of our communities, we accompany youth and their families on their path to realize their full potential as powerful and healthy members of society.
Our programs include tutoring, before and after school academic enrichment, summer programs, social/emotional support, sports, youth workforce, parent leadership development and organizing, and arts education.
Our Vision
We envision a community in which our youth are self-empowered through education and self-expression, have overcome discrimination, and contribute to positive change in their communities.
As part of this vision, all of San Francisco's youth and families have access to the opportunities they need to thrive and create a city that is safe, equitable, inter-connected and community-led.
