Luis a Housing Inspector with the Department of Building Inspection, City and County of San Francisco. He is also a volunteer Jamestown Soccer Coach.

Board Treasurer

Rich has lived in the Mission District for 30 years. At Enterprise Community Partners, he oversees Enterprise's affordable housing, community development, investment and strategic programs for the Bay area. Those efforts include launching Enterprise's role in a groundbreaking program to revitalize public housing in SF, greening existing affordable housing, working with Bay Area communities on the foreclosure crisis and initiating investment in new affordable housing. Previously, Rich managed and underwrote Low-Income Housing Tax Credit investments in California for Enterprise.

Rich is the Vice President and Northern California Market Leader at Enterprise Community Partners.


EFRAIN BARRERA

Efrain has over 15 years of experience in the field of education, nonprofits, and working with immigrant families and youth. He is the proud father of a 6-year-old and a 10-year-old, who push him to become a better human being day by day. Efrain Barrera immigrated to San Francisco's Mission District from El Salvador at the age of 15. He attended Mission High School and the University of California, Berkeley, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Education.

Efrain is the Latino Task Force Director for Mission Language and Vocational School.

KATIE BRACKENRIDGE

From 1994 to 2003, Katie served as Co-Executive Director for the Jamestown Community Center, where the amazing staff, children and families of the Mission District taught her about the power of community. After Jamestown, Katie worked for 14 years at the Partnership for Children and Youth (PCY), a non-profit intermediary organization focused on improving practice and policy for after-school and summer programs in public schools and affordable housing.

Katie Brackenridge is the Partnership Director for Turnaround For Children.

LISA BRANSTEN

Lisa is a 5th generation San Franciscan deeply interested in giving back to the diverse city that nurtured her interest in global cultures, particularly in Latin America. She earned her Masters Degree in Latin American politics and International Economics from the John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. In 2010, Lisa went to work for the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department helping to foster public-private partnerships to support parks and recreational programming in SF. She lives in San Francisco with her husband and two children.

Lisa is the Director of Partnerships at San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department.


LISA FUNG

Lisa is the Chief Development Officer at Enterprise for Youth. Prior to Enterprise for Youth, Lisa was the Managing Director of the Data For Good Fund, at UpMetrics, a company empowering the social sector with impact measurement and management. Lisa was co-founder of SchoolPages, an EdTech company that promoted internal communication tools to promote parent engagement. She has also worked to increase internet connectivity in K12 schools at EducationSuperHighway, and was the VP of Sales & Business Development for GreatSchools, an nonprofit organization dedicated to helping parents find the best schools for their children.  

She previously served on several nonprofit boards including Cameron House. Today she serves on the Boards at San Francisco Historical Society and Healing Waters Wilderness Adventures. Throughout her career, she has developed key partnerships with organizations that are making an impact for positive change. 

During summer weekends, you can find her volunteering as a white water river rafting guide for underserved populations. Lisa is a fourth-generation San Franciscan and a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in Environmental Science.


GABBY RUIZ

With a degree in Health Education and Holistic Health and a Masters in Urban and Public Affairs, Gabby has dedicated her career to working on housing, equity and data to inform local organizations on community policy. She is currently at Chinatown Community Development Center, and was previously at Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation. She also served on the Planning Commission from 2022-2024 prioritizing San Francisco's commitment to centering race and equity within the City's planning process. Today she serves on the Board at Tenderloin Housing Clinic.

Gabby is a past Jamestown participant in our Youth In Charge (YIC) program and sat on the board as a youth representative. YIC inspired her to participate in community causes, especially during the free MUNI for youth campaign, sparking her interest in civic engagement and continuing in the fight. Jamestown's support is one of the reasons why she was able to be successful in the college application process. During college, she worked for Jamestown as an afterschool teacher.


MATT VALDEZ

Matt was born and raised in San Francisco’s Excelsior District and joined the Giants in 2017 after advising as an outside counsel since 2015. He advises the team on a wide variety of legal and business matters, including partnerships, ballpark events, immigration, operations, real estate and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion council.

Matt is active in the local community, currently serving on the Justice and Diversity Center of the Bar of San Francisco Board of Directors and supporting several San Francisco community based non-profits focused on youth and community development. He is a graduate of Lowell High School, California State University Northridge and UC Hastings Law. Prior to law school he worked for a non-profit affordable housing developer running social programming and supporting housing development for low-income families, seniors and formerly homeless persons.


Paul Vega

Paul Vega is an experienced HR professional with a robust background in people operations and strategic human resources. Currently serving as Lead People Partner for AMER Sales at Figma since May 2021, Paul previously held senior positions at Udemy, where significant contributions included developing HR programs, supporting company growth, and implementing a company-wide leveling framework. With a history that includes roles in companies like Metamarkets and Practice Fusion, Paul has successfully managed full-cycle HR duties, created effective onboarding strategies, and facilitated organizational development initiatives. Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Arizona.

GARY FURNEY

Emeritus Member

Gary served on the Jamestown Board of Directors for 8 years. Gary earned his Bachelors Degree from Baylor University and his Masters in Business Administration from the Golden Gate University.

Gary is an Accounting Manager at Balco Properties in Oakland.
